This is a gorgeous late 1950s to early 1960s Scottish cashmere sweater by Pringle of Scotland, crafted from 100% pure cashmere in an unusual midnight ink blue, an exceptionally deep shade with subtle violet undertones that almost appears black in certain lighting.
Featuring a classic round neckline, softly structured short sleeves, a beautifully shaped waist and finely ribbed trims, creating an elegant and distinctly feminine mid-century silhouette.
The original Pringle label bears the Royal Warrant of H.M. The Queen, reflecting the heritage of this celebrated Scottish knitwear manufacturer.
A wonderfully sophisticated vintage piece, combining luxurious Scottish cashmere with a particularly beautiful and unusual colour.
