This is a gorgeous and particularly charming original 1950s cardigan by Dalton, crafted from wonderfully soft 100% virgin cashmere in a gorgeous deep, muted plum shade with subtle lilac undertones.
What makes this piece so special is its delightful decorative detailing. The rounded collar features beautifully textured smocked fabric in contrasting navy and ivory, with matching details at the cuffs, creating a wonderfully elegant and feminine look.
Finished with matching fabric-covered buttons down the front, a flattering fitted silhouette and a sweet little navy bow at the back of the neckline.

Condition: Fabulous condition with some tiny repairs: There were 3/4 tiny holes on the back side but they have been perfectly repaired and they are hardly noticiable when worn. Two other tiny repairs on the right upper sleeve and shoulder (view photo), really hard to notice when worn. One tiny repair close to the left cuff (view photo). This piece has been carefully hand washed and the cashmere fibers are in excellent shape, fluffy, soft and free of pilling. The color is solid. No holes, stains, smells, rips, etc.
