This is a breathtaking dress from the 1950s by ILGWU, USA. The Union Workers label with the AFL-CIO letters indicates this dress has made between 1955 and 1963. Judging by the shape and design, this is clearly between 1955 and 1959 though. Extremely elegant and sophisticated. The fabric is black wool and the superior layer of the collar is black taffeta. She closes with a long metal zipper on the back. What a dress!

Condition: Fabulous condition! Note the skirt had 6/8 tiny pinholes that were only visible towards light, and they were mainly in the bottom of the skirt. We have fixed them with inner reinforcement fabric, they were not visible before and now they are absolutely imperceptible (view photos). The ineer side of the bottom hem has a couple of damages (view photos), they are not visible when worn, but they would be if you let the hem down. As said, the dress is in fabulous condition, clean and ready to wear!
