This is an exquisite 1950s Scottish cashmere cardigan by Pringle of Scotland, in a gorgeous deep raspberry red shade.
Made in Scotland from 100% pure cashmere, this lovely piece features a wonderfully soft knit, long sleeves and a classic button-front design with pretty iridescent buttons.
The most charming detail is its beautifully textured openwork collar, decorated with delicate raised knit details, adding a particularly feminine touch to its classic mid-century silhouette.
Bearing its original "Styled by Pringle for Shannon Free Airport, Ireland" label, a lovely reminder of the golden age of international travel.
A beautiful and distinctive example of 1950s Scottish cashmere knitwear.
