This is a beautiful original late 1950s to early 1960s French wool cape in a gorgeous deep forest green shade made by Aimée Couture.
Made from thick, beautifully textured wool, featuring an elegant flared silhouette, a classic pointed collar, decorative buttons and practical arm openings. A lovely buttoned half-belt detail finishes the back.
Fully lined in striking bright red, creating a wonderful contrast with the rich green exterior.
The original French couture label is still attached, bearing the name of a dressmaker from Coudes, France.
A beautifully tailored and timeless piece of mid-century French fashion, full of character and charm.
