This is a stunning and iconic dress from the late 1950s. She has a Ries zipper which is a German zippermakers brand, so this dress is most probably German. The fabric is white textured cotton with beautiful blue polkadots. She has a very beautiful neckline and back and a massive skirt. She closes with a side zipper. This dress has no label but it is not homemade.
