This is a fabulous autumn/winter dress from the very late 1940s or very early 1950s. The fabric is gabardine wool with a black and white houndstooth pattern. The touch of the fabric is super nice and confy. Black velvet collar and cuffs. She closes with front buttons and a side metal zipper. Delicious!
