Here we have an incredibly gorgeous dress from the 1930s. The front zipper is a Lightning Zipper, so this dress must be British. The fabric is a glorious rayon crepe in dark brown with an amazing floral handembroidery all over the piece! Delicious pastel colors. Semi-puff shoulders. It has tiny shoulder-pads made with the same fabric. Closes with a side snap-buttons. This dress has no label but it is NOT homemade. You can still see in the inner collar the remains of a silk lining and the label was probably there. What a piece!

We have made some restoration works as reinforcing armpit seams which it was needed. She had some from pinhole to small holes mostly located to the bottom back of the skirt (please view last photos) but we have fixed them with inner reinforcement fabric, so at least we make sure they will not get bigger. There are a couple of small ones more to the side of the skirt and they have been fixed too. She had a tiny rip close to the right shoulder (view photo) and another small to the waist area, both have been fixed and not they are practically invisible.
It seems a lot of things but really, the shape of the dress is amazing and with all the fixings no one will notice that she had some holes! No big issues at all and pictures dont make justice to this fabulous dress!
