This is an exquisite Boater Hat from the 1910s or very early 1920s made by Abati. We couldn't find any information about this maker but since we bought this hat in the north of Catalonia and the brand sounds quite latin the maker could be Catalan or Italian. It has totally handmade with pressed woven straw, the hat is not soft, the material is hard and rigid.

Marked Size: 58
Inner circumference: 22" (56cm)
Length (at longest point): 12.5” (32cm)
Inside Length: 8.5" (21cm)
Width (at widest point): 11” (28cm)
Inside Width: 7" (17cm)
Crown Height: 3.5” (9cm)
Material: Straw
Condition: Awesome condition considering its age. The straw is in absolutely mint condition, no broken parts, etc. The leather was very dry when we got it so we made several hydrations and now it is again flexible and soft. We had to make a hand stitching on the leather too as it was so dry that lost the original sewing. The inner net shows signs of age but the paper lining has no holes or damages.
