laThis is a truly piece of museum from the late 1940s or early 1950s. The fabric is natural wild silk in ivory and navy blue. The cut is so exquisite, a clear example of the "New Look", very tight at the waist and bodice. The couture brand is Berger, one of the best haute couture houses in Germany. It closes with a long metal zipper on the back. IT has a soft crinoline attached to the skirt. The tulip collar is one of the most beautiful ones I've seen. This is a very special dress for a very special occasion.
