This is a fabulous knit cardigan we asume from the 1930s. It's condition is surprisingly mint, and that is why we say "we asume". Here is the story, we bought this cardigan together with some 30s dresses and blouses, all from same owner and decade. They were all in amazing condition, including this cardigan. Since knit doesn't resist in very good condition for ages, unless it is very carefully stored, the condition of this cardigan makes us wonder if it could be made later using a 30s pattern. Maybe in the 50s or 60s 🤔. We are not experts on knitting, so it is quite difficult to find out for ourselves. You girls with expert eye will be able to find this out with the photos.
Anyways, it is a very expert knitter, very beautifully made. The cardigan is buttonless, we have 📍 the bottom front just to show how it fits.
